Chemical Dependency Specialist

As a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP), you will be responsible for the delivery of effective treatment services to the assigned caseload(s), participation in the development and design of effective treatment and prevention activities, delivery of Alcohol/drug education services to the resident, family, and community, and the responsibility for case management relating to counselor and patient activities. CDP is also responsible for the supervision of CDP-T interns as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES *Provide assessments that shall include personal history; abuse history; physical, social, psychological, and spiritual evaluations as needed. *Develop and implement a comprehensive alcohol/drug treatment plan for each assigned client based on determined needs. Perform case management services. *Implement specific individual and group counseling sessions. *Provide information and recommendations to WCM staff on chemical dependency-specific issues. *Supervise CDP-T interns. *Utilize community resources as may be needed to assist the client in plans for education, vocational training, employment, etc. *Assist clients in scheduling activities for personal, social, and emotional rehabilitation. *Coordinate and serve as the liaison with courts, probation officers, and/or social service agencies, as needed for the individual client. *Maintain all patient records in accordance with the Women's and Children's Ministries recovery program and with WAC guidelines. *Perform counseling duties as assigned in primary, intermediate care, outpatient care, and outreach or continuing care. Maintain assigned caseload. *Identify client health needs and refer to other agencies. *Maintain confidentiality of client records; ensure file maintenance. *Complete in an accurate and timely manner client charting and reporting forms. Submit reporting forms as requested by Clinical Supervisor. *Maintain State CDP requirements, including ADIS certification. *Attend and participate in all Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training, as required. *Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor. *Oversee all Chemical Dependency Support Groups within the recovery program and lead as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE *Chemical Dependency Professional certification and fulfilling of WA State continuing education requirements are required. *Two years of higher education from an accredited institution in a related field or equivalent experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding, and talking on the telephone. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 20 pounds and walks using stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. PRE-EMPLOYMENT
