Born and raised as a “missionary kid” in Guatemala, Alice moved to the U.S. at the end of high school and earned a degree in communications from the University of Texas. In 2001, she moved to Colorado and poured herself into raising three children as a single mom while working for several nonprofits, including International Students Inc. and Outreach, Inc. Currently in various stages of young adulthood, her kids have all launched out on their own journeys now, but come home regularly to check in. Some of Alice’s favorite activities happen outside, like hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. She also enjoys writing, reading, traveling, and sports.
