Born and raised as a “missionary kid” in Guatemala, Alice moved to the U.S. at the end of high school and earned a degree in communications from the University of Texas. While raising three children, she tackled a couple of entrepreneurial ventures and worked for several nonprofits, including International Students Inc. and Save the Storks. Currently in various stages of young adulthood, her kids are launching into the world—after graciously gifting Mom with a boxer-mix pup to ensure the house doesn’t feel too quiet. Some of Alice’s favorite activities happen outside, like hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. She also enjoys writing, reading, traveling, and sports.
