Case Manager II

As the Case Manager II you will work with a team of staff to facilitate creating a safe, healing environment for guests in a Christian residential program. Part of a 24-hour team that provides advocacy-based and spiritual counseling, information, referral and support services to program guests.
RESPONSIBILITIES *Process intake assessments and screening of guests. *Manage caseload of individual guests in addiction recovery programs. *Meet with guests weekly and maintain all electronic and paper client files. *Help in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of Hope Place. *Provide crisis intervention information, chemical dependency case management and referral help. *Communicate with all staff through the Client Tracker (CT11). *Help coordinate and facilitate support groups, Bible studies, addiction recovery curriculum and classes. *Develop and maintain on-going guest files. *Administer observed urine collections for guests. *Perform welfare checks in guest residences and restrooms. *Help maintain a positive, pleasant and Christian atmosphere at the facility *Attend and participate in all Mission, Division and Department meetings and training, as required. *Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE *An Associate degree is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. A combination of education and four years of relatable experience may be substituted. *Three years of experience working in a social services or rescue mission setting. One of those years must be spent as a Case Manager. *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding and talking on the telephone. Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. PRE-EMPLOYMENT

COVID 19 PROTOCOL Per King County, we require that everyone wear a mask while at any Mission facility (unless eating or drinking), practice social distancing and temperature checks are required prior to entering any facility.
Per Governor Inslee's Proclamation 21-14.1, employees at Seattle Union Gospel Mission for the following locations: KentHope, Hope Place, and Dental must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen.
