As a Support Services Coordinator, you will work with a team to help create a safe, healing environment for women and children in a Christian residential program. This position is responsible for mentoring the women and children, scheduling and overseeing the women in housekeeping work therapy, and the general cleaning and upkeep of the Hope Place facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES *Schedule and oversee housekeeping work therapy *Work as part of a team to minister to the women by being a good Christian role model and by being willing to confront the guests respectfully and consistently *Supervise chores performed by guests *Complete weekly guest room cleanliness checks at all locations *Hold guests accountable to program and individual goals and guidelines *Inventory, organize supply areas, and keep necessary quantities of supplies on hand *Thoroughly clean common areas as needed by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and window cleaning *Clean guest rooms and bathrooms as assigned *Thoroughly keep common restrooms sanitized and stocked *Seek out areas that need cleaning *Keep hygiene and other donations organized * Train, supervise, and equip volunteers as needed * Clean offsite properties/transitional units when needed * Contribute to the overall safety and maintenance of the building by filling out necessary maintenance request forms and reports * Help out at the front desk as needed * Communicate daily with staff via email * Attend community meetings and staffing meetings as required * Be available to cover evening shifts and/or Sunday rotation shifts when needed * Provide set up/tear down and support for special events including AV for Graduation * Complete data entry, documents in Clarity, and record events during a shift in the Facility Log * Attend and participate in all Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training, as required * Any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday, 7:00 am -3:30 pm plus occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
*A high school diploma or equivalent is required. *Stay awake during overnight hours (if assigned to that shift) is required. *Clerical and reception experience required or preferred depending on the facility location. *Previous janitorial experience and experience working in social services preferred. *Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria strongly preferred, including but not limited to: **Clean driving record **No current suspensions or revocations **At least 21 years of age WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods in a temperature-controlled environment. Occasionally stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks uses stairways to climb to multiple floors within the company. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Per Governor Inslee's Proclamation 21-14.1, employees at Seattle Union Gospel Mission for the following locations: KentHope, Hope Place, and Dental must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless a medical or religious exemption is approved. Being fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination or be approved for a medical or religious exemption prior to being allowed to work.
