BEFORE THE AFTER

GOD IS MOVING AND WANTS OUR STORY TO BE TOLD. WE HOLD TRUE TO HIS PROMISES BUT KNOW THAT TIMES ARE NOT ALWAYS EASY AND THERE IS A STORY TO BE TOLD OF WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE THE, "EVER AFTER."

Join colleagues from member missions in our district for a day of inspiration, education, and networking! This Heartland District Huddle will be meeting at 123 NW Gordon, Topeka, KS. This is a newly acquired church to the Topeka rescue mission. THIS IS A NEW MEETING LOCATION FOR THE HEARTLAND HUDDLE!

The $50 Registration fee includes a light breakfast and lunch, along with a time of worship, an inspiring message, and breakout discussions. There will be optional tours of the Topeka Rescue Mission in the afternoon.

See the schedule below for details. This will be a time of thoughtful interaction and encouragement that you won't want to miss!

For those arriving October 9 and needing lodging for one or two nights, we've negotiated a special hotel rate of $155 available at the Cyrus Hotel located at 920 S. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS, 66612. Click here to make your hotel reservation.

Mobile Access Partnership: Bringing Services to Meet People Where They Are: Barry Feaker, CEO of CCT LLC/Compassion Strategies

As we all face difficult times, we need to look at doing outreach differently. Mobile Access Partnership (MAP) takes services and ministry to our unsheltered neighbors on the streets. With partnerships within mental health, law enforcement, food service, health department, mobile health care, and even veterinary services; we can wrap around our neighbors and build trusting relationships with them to provide the steps they need for their journeys. Attendees will watch mobile units in action to see how the partnerships work.

Programming: How to Take Guest Programming to the Next Level: Kourtney Barr, TRM Deputy Director of  Transformation Services

Providing the right tools and education to guests is essential. Kourtney will share what tools her team provides and will offer practical tips to take your programing to the next level.

Partnerships & Collaboration: Working Together, Building Relationships: La Manda Broyles, TRM Executive Director

The Lord calls us to work together using our many strengths as one body of Christ. We cannot do this work on our own. La Manda will explore how collaborating with partners results in mutual support.
