Partnership Relations Officer

Overview,
New York City Relief is a growing Christian non-profit organization that operates a mobile outreach to the homeless. The organization has a budget of 3.5 million dollars and mobilizes over 7,000 volunteers a year to connect the homeless to resources that lead to life transformation.

To Be Successful,
The PRO will focus on introducing new contacts to the work of NYCR, cultivating those relationships and offering opportunities to partner financially with the organization. This is done through hosting these men and women on outreaches, at special events or connecting through individual meetings.

Hosting those contacts on outreaches gives the opportunity to demonstrate our mission in action, and share the innovative methods we use to achieve that mission. In this process the PRO will enrich our volunteer’s lives by connecting them to our friends struggling with homelessness. Through this spiritual and transformative experience, these volunteers are able to relate to those in poverty, experience God’s heart of compassion and find out how they can make a difference.

Of course, not all donors are followers of Christ, but that presents opportunities for the PRO to introduce people to the work of God through the love and care we provide to our friends challenged with homelessness. Our donors appreciate the opportunities we give them to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors who are in need,

Job Summary,
Through the process of building long-term relationships, the PRO will find and invite new partners to invest in our work with the goal of recruiting donors who have the potential of making large gifts of $5,000 or more. NYCR has a large network of friends and potential supporters who are ready to be engaged and invited to join together in partnership.

A background in fundraising is very helpful, but not essential. It is important for PRO candidates to be comfortable engaging new people and be confident in introducing them to our work with the goal of engaging them in partnership.
