Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg, PA has opened a search to identify our next Executive Director. For 110 years Bethesda Mission has met the needs of hurting and homeless men, women, and children by providing tangible assistance and life-changing programs rooted in the hope and love that only Jesus Christ offers. Our annual operating budget for 2024 is 4.3 million and we have 62 employees. Programs and services at Bethesda Mission are holistic in approach and place a priority and focus on long-term life recovery. We currently operate the following ministry programs: Men's Mission,
Women's Mission - serving single women and women with children, Mobile Mission, Community Center, Medical and Dental Clinics, Food Bank.

Position Summary
The Executive Director is the primary Shepherd/Leader of the ministry and is responsible for professional and Godly leadership as well as ensuring Bethesda Mission's overall management and operation, including Administration, Finance, Development, Programs, Human Resources, and Facilities. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, develop and execute Bethesda Mission's strategic plans. Responsible for safeguarding the Spiritual and operational well being of the Ministry ensuring its alignment with and fulfillment of Bethesda Mission's Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, Vision and Core Values. The Executive Director is responsible for the appropriate protection and use of ministry assets and careful stewardship of those things under the Bethesda Mission's name.

The right candidate will be a Godly professional and proven leader who excels in optimization and stewardship. This role requires spiritual maturity, discernment, strategic leadership, operational, financial, and fundraising acumen; excellent communication skills, integrity, and execution. Effectively establish and sustain strong and productive relationships with community and business leaders as well as area churches. Must be comfortable and capable of genuinely connecting with a diverse group of people including our clientele, major donors, and community leaders.
