What Does A Citygate Network Member Look Like?

For the most part, you won’t find the buildings Citygate Network members occupy in an upscale section of their downtowns. The neighborhoods they occupy are likely to be less lit, less lively, and more unsettled. Yet despite their lackluster locations, they are vibrant places of promise.

Their building are havens of hope for the lost and lonely who call the streets home. Inside there is hot food, clean clothing, temporary shelter, and the possibility of a more abundant life.

Gospel rescue missions and kindred ministries have a long history of providing lifelines for those drowning in the waves of adversity and the undertow of addiction. For more than a century, they have been keeping watch on the waterfront of despair, and countless thousands of men, women, and children have been saved in every sense of the word.

Because Citygate Network is an association of autonomous organizations, you won’t find a common identifier in the names of our members. About two-thirds have the word mission in their name. That might be modified with the words city and/or gospel and/or rescue and/or union or something else. But the other one-third have very unique names that convey the fact that hope, healing, recovery, relief, and dream fulfillment can be found inside.

If you are looking for one of our member organizations to meet the needs of a friend or family members, or even yourself, go to our directory and search by name (if you know it) or location.
