March 15-16, 2022

An Online Event

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God (Romans 13:1, NIV).

There is so much going on in the United States today that begs the attention of missions and ministries. COVID is still with us and so is the specter of vaccination/testing mandates. There are major cases awaiting Supreme Court action—cases that may have profound implications for ministries. Crime is rampant in many of the cities where we work. The cost of living continues to drive upward, while necessities become scarcer. Laws are becoming increasingly accommodating toward people who choose the streets. Immigrants and refugees continue to pour into the country, eager for a better life.

These are all challenges before us, but they also represent opportunities. God, in His sovereignty, has chosen to give us an earthly authority that shapes, to some degree, what opportunities are available and how we pursue them.

This is not a time to shrink away, but to fully and proactively engage with government leaders, regardless of political leanings. Citygate Network has assembled a cast of experts, guides, and statesmen who stand ready to help us navigate the realities of 2022 and beyond.

Speaking of realities, after thinking long and hard about it, we’ve decided to offer the DC Forum virtually, like we did last year, rather our typical three days in Washington. Hotels in Washington, D.C., can be quite expensive, and it would be a shame to go there and not be able to get in to see lawmakers—and there is a good chance that would be the case.

Once again, the meetings will utilize a combination of the Zoom and Whova platforms. We will do it over two days, March 15 and 16 (Tuesday and Wednesday), starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), with a lunch break both days.

Regardless of format, you can be confident that the program will be robust, the engagement opportunities will be rich, and the resources will be poignant. Take a look at what we have planned, and we think you'll agree that this is an excellent opportunity to participate in one of the amazing systems of government that God has established.

P.S. Several lawmakers will join us. Some will be last-minute confirmations because of votes.
