In Their Words

CN: What is something happening at your mission that you are most grateful for?

Christian Shelter: The Christian Shelter has been blessed with many wonderful things throughout the years, but we are especially grateful for our newest addition. God has given us a new walk-in refrigerator and freezer, which has been an incredible blessing to our ministry. The shelter raised the $170,000 needed for this project through donations from foundations and the State of Maryland Bond Initiative. We are so thankful for the generous contributions that made this possible.

CN: What is something you are looking forward to and/or praying for?

Christian Shelter: As we look to the future, we at the Christian Shelter are praying for the City of Salisbury to grant us the land behind the shelter. We hope to build a playground and administrative office for the shelter on this land, which would be a tremendous asset to our ministry. We know that whatever plans God has for the Christian Shelter, they will be for the good of our guests and our community.

CN: In what ways has being a Citygate Network member been a resource to you and your team?

Christian Shelter: Being a Citygate Network member has been an incredible resource to us and our team. We are proud to be a member of this organization, as it helps us to better serve our guests, community, and partners. The Citygate Network has connected us with other members, which has allowed us to coordinate our services more effectively and offer our guests greater assistance. We are truly thankful for all of the ways in which being a part of this network has helped us to further our ministry.
