Olive Branch Mission

Olive Branch Mission is a Christ-centered ministry serving homeless men, women, and families in Chicago for over 158 years. Guided by our calling, “The World for Jesus,” we proclaim the Gospel while meeting urgent physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We provide 110 beds for men, 50 beds for women, and 178 beds for families, offering not just shelter but a pathway to restoration and renewed purpose through the transforming power of Jesus Christ. Every resident receives comprehensive, individualized case management, beginning with a thorough needs assessment and prompt CES assessment. Through scheduled one-on-one meetings, clients actively partner with staff to develop and implement personalized service plans focused on stability, self-sufficiency, and permanent housing. Our holistic services include life skills and parenting education, budget development, job readiness and interviewing skills, vocational training and employment support, educational advancement, childcare coordination, and permanent housing placement. Residents receive assistance accessing mainstream benefits and onsite support for medical, dental, vision, and mental health needs. Dedicated Resource Specialists conduct tailored searches for education, employment, and housing opportunities aligned with each individual’s goals. In addition to practical support, we provide onsite spiritual counseling, pastoral care, Bible studies, and regular church services, creating opportunities for residents to grow in faith, experience healing, and encounter the hope found in Christ. Through strong community partnerships, we also provide referrals to additional agencies and resources, including detoxification, treatment, recovery, and aftercare services for those battling addiction.
