Organization Description
Gospel, Inc. is a Lakeland, Florida-based nonprofit organization founded in 2011 as a Christ-centered outreach ministry dedicated to breaking the cycle of chronic homelessness in Polk County. It operates Gospel Village, a supportive housing community that provides permanent affordable homes, micro-enterprise work opportunities (such as crafting and selling handmade goods), and holistic care—including trauma healing, community building, and spiritual support—to formerly homeless individuals. Targeting those who have faced long-term street living and limited access to traditional services, the organization fosters dignity and stability through private apartments and job training. As of 2025, Gospel, Inc. is expanding with a $6 million project to add 72 new units (starting with 48), funded in part by a $685,000 city grant, aiming to eventually reach 150 units to serve more of the estimated 600+ homeless residents in Lakeland.
