Oakdale Rescue Mission

Oakdale Rescue Mission is a Home with a Purpose. There are various reasons folds are on the streets unsheltered. There is no one solution that meets the needs of all the homeless. Oakdale Rescue Mission (ORM) does not pretend or imagine that we can solve the issues related to homelessness. However, for our street friends and our community, we can provide practical solutions to direct problems (i.e.: providing safe storage off the streets for personal belongings). ORM does not look to see who deserves to be helped; we do not believe that horrible life circumstances are deserved ("suffering teh consequences of poor choices"). ORM believes compassion and love are key components and we hold onto the belief that those in need have to be helped in order for any opportunity of change to occur. If we do nothing, every circumstance in their lives and our community will get worse.
