Muncie Mission Ministries

Since 1930, Muncie Mission has provided care to men, women, and families experiencing poverty and homelessness from Muncie and surrounding communities in East Central Indiana. Our diverse menu of programs and services for neighbors in need currently includes: • Emergency shelter for homeless men (up to 50 beds), • A long-term residential recovery program for men battling addictions, • Recovery housing for men completing the residential addictions program, • A transitional home for women seeking a return to independent living (including capacity to accept mothers with children), • Management of a multi-agency, daytime service center for unsheltered guests experiencing homelessness, offering restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, • Tiny home shelters for individual adults unable to thrive in congregate dormitories, • Free hot lunches served each weekday for hungry neighbors, • Holiday meals for community residents including deliveries to elderly shut-ins, • Relief for desperate families that includes twice-weekly pantries offering groceries, clothing, diapers, household cleaning, and personal hygiene items, as well as utility assistance and access to household furnishings for families in crisis, and • A free medical clinic offering basic screenings and healthcare for persons with limited or no income.
