Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission

Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission is a Christian nonprofit organization serving individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, addiction, and other life challenges in Anchorage, Alaska. Since 1965, the Mission has provided practical help and a pathway toward lasting life transformation, offering its services at no cost to those who come through its doors. The Mission provides emergency shelter for approximately 100 people each night and serves more than 10,000 meals each month, 365 days a year. Additional services include clothing, showers and laundry facilities, counseling, limited medical care, educational assistance, and connections to community resources. Beyond meeting immediate needs, Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission helps individuals address the circumstances that contribute to recurring crisis. Christ-centered recovery programs provide counseling, life-skills development, work experience, accountability, discipleship, sobriety support, and transitional opportunities designed to help participants build stability, independence, purpose, and hope. Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission receives no municipal, state, or federal funding. Its work is supported entirely through private donations, volunteers, churches, businesses, and community partners who share in its commitment to practical care and lasting transformation.
