Organization Description
The Union Rescue Mission was founded in 1937 by a group of Christian businessmen in a one-room building in Fairmont, WV. Their goal was to provide shelter to the homeless and a path to a better future. The programs offered by the Mission provide recovery skills, Bible studies, chapel services, food, shelter, clothing, and job training. URM has evolved from humble beginnings into a compassionate ministry dedicated to aiding the physcial, emotional, and spiritual lives of those in need.
