Human Resources Recruiter – Full Time

This position provides professional recruitment and vetting for highly qualified candidates who have a deep faith in Jesus and a calling work at Mel Trotter Ministries. This role provides consultation and administrative support in editing job descriptions and interview questions, and maintains updates on all recruiting documents. This position manages our posting platforms and ATS, performs interviews, and provides reference checks. Additionally, the recruiter represents MTM at job and career fairs, and plays a role in providing meaningful and relevant orientations and onboarding. This role provides coverage to the Atrium Call Center, on an occasional basis.

Human Resources Recruiting Functions


* Maintain and research new jobs posting platforms and opportunities

* Maintain excellent professional relationships with job posting platform vendors, local churches, and community organizations

* Communicate internal referral opportunities and internal promotion or transfer opportunities each week

* Manage our ATS, review and sort all resumes and applications

* Provide pre-screening and follow up for all qualified applicants, schedule interviews and/or provide interviews. Accurately complete interview forms and reference checking forms, and provide recommendations to HR leadership.

* Maintain new hire supplies and orientation packets

* Set up and assist with the presentation of orientation and tours

* Maintain confidentiality of all matters related to staff, MTM, and HR

* Perform administrative duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources, to include updating forms and policies, registrations, etc

* Assist with coverage of the Call Center as needed



Call Center Functions (as needed)


* Provide professional, warm, enthusiastic telephone greetings

* Provide accurate information regarding MTM and community programs

* Assist callers with donation drive questions and drop offs



Bring your strengths: (Job Requirements)

* Bachelor’s Degree or HR certificate preferred, or five years related HR experience

* Minimum 1 year successful recruiting experience

* Working knowledge of job posting platforms and social media recruiting strategies

* Highly organized, detail-oriented, productive

* Strong professional writing skills with experience creating job descriptions and interview questions

* Professional communication and interpersonal skills

* Skilled use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)



Working Conditions:

* Regular standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, pushing, or pulling

* Understand, speak, read, and write fluent English

* Ability to communicate verbally and to accurately hear, with hearing correction

* Ability to see 20/20, with vision correction

* Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 35 pounds regularly

* Able to use fine motor hand functions

* Frequently exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 80 Degrees
