Sr. Gift Processing Manager

Summary: Responsible for the daily processing and oversight of all financial donations for the Mission, managing donor relations and working with marketing and database vendors

Major Responsibilities (90%)
90% Donor Database Management
- Scan, edit and verify gift data in the Mission's imaging and gift entry system
- Oversee entire gift processing cycle and make recommendations for change, as appropriate
- Code maintenance based on motivation, designation and general ledger
- Oversee mail opening process, ensuring all mail handling and opening procedures are adhered to
- Review and make recommendations for direct mail campaigns
- Approve data queries
- Oversee the following IT initiatives: Testing of programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications,
- Approve the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases,
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
- Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management
- Create reports as needed using the Mission's CRM
- Train and set up new CRM users and answer questions
- Oversee and direct tasks of Donor Engagement Manager, Gift Processor and other team members as assigned
- Create/update department handbook
- Database maintenance: merging donors, correcting errors
- Send acknowledgements to donors
- Order supplies for receipting process and donor relations

10% Other Duties
- Assist the Vice President of Development & Strategic partnerships with various special projects and events
- Assist the Accounting Department
- Support fund-raising events as needed

Requirements
- Experience with processing funds
- Extensive customer service background
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent typing skills
- Experience with donor CRM software and bulk mailing
- Experience managing staff
- Able to pass criminal background check
- Experience working at a nonprofit organization
- Must be able to walk, bend, stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift 20lbs unsupported 50lbs supported
- Bachelor's degree
- Committed Christian and active member of a Christian church
- Agreement with Mission's Statement of Faith required
