Major Gifts Officer
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: > Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of 150-200 prospects with capacity to make a $10,000 to $25,000 or more gift > Conduct 10-15 face-to-face visits per month, either in-person or via Virtual Meetings > Compile and complete prospect research with limited support from other Advancement Staff, especially to brief CEO before he participates in meetings with any major donor > Submit qualified proposals to prospects, minimally at the $10,000 level, and achieve $1Million in added received gifts annually > Work with Director of Advancement to develop and implement short- and long-term strategies and outreach plans for the major gifts program, which could include major donor events > Lead one-on-one solicitations and prepare information and solicitation plan for CEO and Board of Directors for cultivation and solicitation of major gifts > Lead tours with qualified donors/prospects to inform them about specific projects and encourage them to give at major donor levels > Represent our Mission in various community settings as necessary, including speaking engagements directly related to resource development to spread the word about our mission and work > Attend any special events to create opportunities for special event attendees to deepen their relationship to the Mission > Work with Director of Advancement to maintain current profiles for projects and programs requiring funding > Customize all communication materials required to support the major gifts program including all marketing, solicitations, and acknowledgement materials > Provide input to the website as it relates to prospects and donors to ensure proper and effective donor acknowledgment > Communicate with Director of Advancement to track the receipt and intent of major gifts > Complete KPI and Moves Management Report for the Director of Advancement bi-weekly
