About Us: For 43 years, The Salina Rescue Mission has been a cornerstone in our community, dedicated to addressing homelessness with compassion and Christian love. Our mission is to provide real, lasting change in the lives of those we serve by first meeting their immediate needs—food, shelter, clothing, and safety—and then offering long-term support that includes employment assistance, health care, financial training, housing, and relapse prevention. Through our daily ministry, we share the love of God, bringing the gospel to life through our actions, words, and prayer.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and spiritually driven leader to join our team as the Chief Operating Officer. This is perfect for someone who feels called to pastor, train, and lead our dedicated staff in the daily ministry of helping people experience real transformation. The COO will ensure that our team operates with professionalism, hospitality, and safety while reflecting the heart of Christ in all we do.

Key Responsibilities:
• Pastoral Leadership: Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral care to our staff and volunteers, ensuring that our ministry is rooted in Christian love and compassion.
• Staff Training and Development: Equip and train our ministry team to effectively serve our guests, emphasizing professionalism, hospitality, and safety in all interactions.
• Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of our ministry, ensuring that our programs run smoothly and effectively while meeting the immediate and long-term needs of those we serve.
• Program Coordination: Ensure the seamless integration of services that address both the immediate and deeper needs of our guests, from providing shelter and meals to offering practical support such as employment assistance, health care, and financial training.
• Community Engagement: Act as a key representative of our ministry in partnering with other agencies in our community that provide services, fostering relationships with volunteers and local churches.
• Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with the Executive Pastor to manage resources wisely, ensuring the financial health of the ministry while maximizing our impact.

Qualifications:
• A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a strong commitment to living out Christian values in daily life.
• Significant experience in a leadership role, preferably within a faith-based or nonprofit organization.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, and lead a diverse team, with a focus on professional and spiritual growth.
• Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple programs and initiatives.
• A passion for serving the homeless and those in need, coupled with a heart for ministry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; theological training or ministry experience is a plus.
