Guest Services Administrator

The Guest Services Administrator supports the Mission's Men's Ministries (MM) efforts to end homelessness by leading the Guest Services team by providing spiritual leadership, program development, and administrative supervision of all emergency services ministry components within the Men's Shelter. This position is responsible for recruiting, developing, resourcing, educating, and equipping staff, program men, and volunteers to address the issues that lead to homelessness while overseeing the implementation of guest programming at the Men's Shelter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Administer and monitor the programs of the Guest Services efforts.
*Oversee all emergency shelter guest programming within the Men's Shelter, leading the guest population to life transformation in Christ through English and Spanish devotions, Bible studies, 1x1 Case Management, and referral to the MM addiction recovery program.
*Oversee all emergency shelter operations within the Men's Shelter to ensure the highest-quality emergency services providing a safe and honoring environment, including Overnight shelter, clothing distribution, showers, mail, and other emergency services as prescribed.
*Work closely with the Director of Men's Ministries to establish and implement goals for Guest Services.
*Provide organizational, spiritual, and administrative leadership to all direct reports, including training, development, hiring, scheduling, goals setting/evaluation, and performance management (including corrective action).
*Ensure all staff, volunteers, and interns interact with the guest population in a grace-based and relationally driven manner. Additionally, this position will be responsible for verifying and screening any/all chapel/devotion speakers to ensure theology aligns with Mission values and doctrine.
*Produce and distribute schedules, maintain accurate and timely records, and ensure the physical security and maintenance of assigned equipment.
*Ensure effective Mission communication with guests, informing guests of administrative, scheduling, and policy changes. Promote practical change and notify guests of the services available to help them in their present situation. Ensure guests have access to information on housing and other options, including MM recovery program information.
*Supervise disciplinary process related to guests, answer guest grievances; ensure a clean, welcoming, safe guest environment, refusing service to unsafe guests when necessary.
*Prepare monthly statistical and narrative reports as required.
*Maintain a positive, pleasant, professional Christian attitude. Work with other staff to forge and model transparent and supportive Christian relationships, which will serve as a Leadership example for recovery program men.
*Be an informed expert in homelessness in Seattle, building relationships and partnerships with local churches and schools and inviting them to enter into the fight to end homelessness.
*Ensure a safe and dignified emergency services environment.
*Maintain accurate and timely records of guest interviews and interventions using the professional case note standards of Men's *Ministries Recovery Program Case Managers.
*Attend all Mission meetings and training sessions, as required.
*Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

*Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
*Extensive experience in ministry and leadership in multiple church/para-church contexts is required; prior work experience in a rescue mission or church context is highly preferred.
*Previous supervisory experience is required.
*Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria required, including but not limited to:
**Clean driving record
**No current suspensions or revocations
**At least 21 years of age

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires frequent use of computers, keyboarding, and talking on the telephone. Occasionally stand, balance, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms. Regularly lifts up to 40 pounds and walks using stairways to climb to multiple floors within the facility. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
