Deep in the Heart of Texas

We’re going to the Central Time Zone and the center (it’s relative) of the Lone Star State for our big 2020 event. We’ll be meeting in San Antonio, one of the most alluring cities you’ll find anywhere. Delicious food, great shopping, fascinating culture, and unforgettable history are all found downtown, connected together by the winding, world famous River Walk.

Our conference hotel, the Grand Hyatt, is actually on the River Walk, next to the Shops at Rivercenter (an urban mall on several levels). Step out the side door and you’re at the historic Menger Hotel, a Teddy Roosevelt haunt; and that’s just across the alley from the Alamo, where Texas’ fight for independence found its impetus and voice.

Learning to ‘Fortify’

Our Theme: When you fortify something, you strengthen it in every aspect to protect it against the possibility of disruption and destruction. You can fortify your systems, programs, funding, partnerships, people—the people you serve, and the people with whom you serve—and your faith. At this Citygate Network Annual Conference and Exposition, in a place where a famous fortress once inspired independence and a rallying cry against domination, we’ll explore the many ways to fortify and protect ourselves (and what’s been entrusted to us) against movements and measures that could ultimately render us passive and ineffective. We’re not talking about just putting on a good front, but actually being made stronger in every way possible through God’s guidance so we can stand against advancing hostile ideologies and be empowered to change lives and fulfill dreams.
