Colorado Springs, Colo. (Aug 7, 2013) — AGRM’s Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) participants are currently working through the module “Radical Hospitality and Its Impact on Ministry Results.” This month’s webinar will feature Mike Yankoski, author of Under the Overpass. Yankoski will discuss what makes a brand of hospitality radical and how mission leaders can engage communities and churches in ministry to the homeless, hungry, abused, and addicted. Last month the leaders heard from AGRM President John Ashmen about how he sees the role of gospel rescue missions shifting in the years ahead.
AGRM’s Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI)—provides a foundation for young rescue mission leaders to discover how God has designed them and how to maximize their gifts to lead effectively in a constantly changing world. The institute is designed for rescue mission staff members age 25–39. Visit www.agrm.org/eli to learn more about the 2014 ELI program. If you have questions, please contact Justin Boles, AGRM’s director of member services.
Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM)—an association of more than 275 rescue missions across North America. AGRM member ministries serve approximately 50 million meals, provide more than 20 million nights’ lodging, distribute more than 27 million pieces of clothing, bandage the wounds of hundreds of abuse victims, and graduate 18,000-plus homeless men and women from addiction-recovery programs into productive living. AGRM is North America’s oldest and largest network of crisis shelters and rehabilitation centers, offering radical hospitality in the name of Jesus. Rescue missions provide some of the nation’s most effective and efficient rehabilitation, education, job training, and life skills programs for homeless men, women, and children.
