Colorado Springs, CO (Nov. 1, 2012) – In 27 states, people who are homeless and in need will benefit from rescue missions’ doubled donation dollars, thanks to Denver Mattress Company (DMC). This is the 10th year the company has partnered with Citygate Network to provide dollar-for-dollar matching donations for organizations that reach out to needy individuals and families.
“We’re grateful for the Denver Mattress Company’s decade of commitment to help those in deep and desperate need,” said Citygate Network President John Ashmen. “We know these rescue missions will greatly appreciate the additional funds during the cold-weather season and the holidays, when increasing numbers seek the help and hope these organizations offer.”
DMC will match donations people give from November 1 to 30 to each of 67 missions in 58 designated areas. The mission or missions in each area can receive a total of up to $2,500 match to use for meeting local needs for food, warm clothing and shelter, or for offering other types of assistance. Also, Citygate Network will benefit from a $5,000 gift to support its overall efforts in coordinating relief. DMC’s total matching donation will be up to $150,000.
In addition to rescue missions promoting the November campaign to their local community members, DMC is supporting donation efforts using banner ads and landing pages designed to receive donations for each rescue mission.
Last year’s efforts yielded $116,482 in local community support; DMC matched the donations with the full $150,000 gift.
