Women's New Life Growth Manager
JOB SUMMARY AND MISSION: The Womenâ€™s New Life Growth Manager contributes to Portland Rescue Missionâ€™s ministry outcomes by leading the process that transforms lives of individuals seeking hope and restoration while partnering with volunteers and churches. This position successfully invites women into restored life by providing discipleship, recovery counseling, program delivery and volunteer mobilization so that relationships with God and others are developed among all involved. This position will model and act in accordance with Portland Rescue Mission foundational ministry principles and the New Life Ministry manual, leading other staff to do the same.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will support the Womenâ€™s Program Manager, manage the recovery team at Shepherdâ€™s Door and work in collaboration with the Life Skills team in facilitating an environment that transforms lives of program participants. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
â€¢ Delivers consistent programmatic care for all program participants at Shepherdâ€™s Door by following the New Life ministry manual and foundational ministry principles all aimed at accomplishing the PRM Ends Statement.
â€¢ Maintains client database by documenting all weekly one-on-oneâ€™s, participant progress and significant interactions through DAP case noting, growth plans and checklists in Resident Tracker Database.
â€¢ Ensures a vibrant program participant community by keeping program census at capacity, cultivating a robust peer to peer based culture and initiating retreats, special events and celebrations as needed.
â€¢ Provides lasting recovery and spiritual growth for a Family Group of women (around 15) by overseeing the program participation of each woman during their involvement in the Restoration Program (12-months).
â€¢ Prepares program participants to be self-sufficient within their available resources by collaborating with Shepherdâ€™s Door staff to ensure growth in general life skills, career readiness, future purpose and committed participation in a church community and recovery community.
â€¢ Ensures transformational relational growth of program participants by leading as an equipper and facilitator of significant interactions between program participants and Volunteer Staff, local churches and other outside relationships.
â€¢ Develops the addictions recovery staff at Shepherdâ€™s Door by managing them through formal and informal meetings, feedback, coaching and accountability.
â€¢ Ensures a Strengths-Based ministry environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team strengths and accomplishments of volunteers, staff and program participants using CliftonStrengths when possible.
â€¢ Keeps the Shepherdâ€™s Door community focused on growth in recovery and faith by viewing challenges as opportunities and maintaining a calm demeanor during periods of conflict or difficult situations, setting an example for all members of the PRM community.
â€¢ Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in teammates morale and performance and communicates with individual or manager as needed.
â€¢ Maintains and models a healthy and Christ-centered work environment by promptly resolving all conflicts with co-workers, volunteers or program participants.
