Women's Program Manager - Laura's Home
The City Mission in Cleveland, Ohio was established by Mel Trotter over 100 years ago. We have been providing help & hope to all people through the transforming power of God's love since the beginning!
The City Mission exists to serve men, women and children at their point of crisis by empowering them with practical help, restored hearts and sustainable homes. Laura’s Home, the Mission’s 166-bed program for single women and women with children, provides essential long-term services such as food, housing, job-readiness training, support groups, and youth programming.
Laura's Home, our women’s crisis center houses an average of 55 women and their children - usually over 150 people each night. The journey begins when a family (single mom with children) engages in The City Mission’s (TCM) long term program at Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center (Laura’s Home). The first phase is devoted to stabilization introducing the women and children to the residential 9-12 month program. She and her children are engaged in structured classes and a variety of services with the intended purpose to prepare women for employment, housing and hope for their future to lead positive and productive lives.
During the long term program our clients are engaged in biblical classes, chapel, crisis support groups, strong case management, job readiness training, financial literacy, and setting goals. While at Laura’s Home, women who are committed to participating in the program work closely with staff to develop goals and feasible steps for accessing resources and obtaining affordable, sustainable housing.
The City Mission is seeking an experienced leader in Gospel Rescue Mission women's crisis care to lead this crisis center. The ideal candidate will have experience creating, implementing, and evaluating relevant programming while tracking and reporting on measurable outcomes, particularly as it relates to housing and employment. The Manager is responsible for client care and programming, supervising staff and managing volunteers. The Manager also represents Laura's Home in the community.
The City Mission has always responded to the changing needs of who we serve. In Cleveland and around the country we are keenly aware of the crisis for single moms who are experiencing homelessness. We are exploring new ideas for how to meet this growing need. A qualified candidate must be able to grow with the Mission and the demanding need as we expand and grow.
Interested managers should submit a cover letter and resume to HumanResources@TheCityMission.org
